Art on a Postcard

Art on a Postcard raises money for The Hepatitis C Trust towards its campaign to eliminate hepatitis C in the UK by the year 2025.

In 2014, Art on a Postcard originally started as a one-off secret postcard auction, but was so successful it has now become an ongoing project in its own right.

Artists and photographers who have taken part in our auctions include Damien Hirst, Grayson Perry CBE/RA, Marina Abramoviç, Harland Miller, Martin Parr, Es Devlin, Jeremy Deller, Peter Blake, Gilbert and George, Wolfgang Tillmans, Marc Quinn and Cicely Brown.

In 2017 we introduced Photography on a Postcard and Art on a Ukulele to our fundraising activities.

We now have many successful auctions and a number of outstanding events under our belts including partnerships with The Other Art Fair and Photo London and a themed urban art postcard auction curated by Ben Eine at Spitalfields Market in London as well our annual outings with Art Car Boot Fair.

In addition to the auctions we have a burgeoning print shop and have released a number of sell-out print editions, including Hate’s Outta Date by Harland Miller.

 Secret Postcard Auctions

All of the artworks are available to view while the auction is running and bidding takes place online.  We partner with New York based auction house Paddle8 who are leaders in the field of 21st century and post-war art.

A list of the contributors’ names is circulated before the sale and the works remain anonymous until the auction has ended.  Our auctions have raised over £750,000 to date.

Most of the images used on this website are artworks that have been donated by artists through Art on a Postcard.
