World Hepatitis Day 2019

London Mayor Sadiq Khan today visited The Hepatitis C Trust and King’s College NHS Foundation Trust’s testing van at the Manna Day Centre in Bermondsey. The event, organised with the London Joint Working Group on Substance Use and Hepatitis C, was held at the Manna Centre due to the higher prevalence of hepatitis C among the homeless population. Read more about the visit here.

Political leaders across the UK including Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, Welsh First Minister Mark Drakeford and the leaders of all the main opposition parties in Scotland and Wales contributed messages of support for the elimination of hepatitis C.

Finally, our staff and volunteers took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to raise thousands of pounds to support volunteers.

There were also events across the UK as shown on the map below.
